The Office Bureau's Terms of Trading

  • A strict confidentiality code will be observed at all times and no information will be forwarded to a third party, unless at the written request of the Client, or because we are legally required to.
     
  • Once notified of requirements, we will provide the Client with a quotation. If the Client is then happy to proceed, a booking form will be sent to you along with our Terms and Conditions. Both parties must sign these documents before any work commences.
     
  • For insurance purposes and safety reasons, we are unable to permit personal visits to our office, unless previously arranged.
     
  • We advise that the Clients send documents via a traceable method of delivery.
     
  • Any electronically received projects are virus scanned prior to opening. However, after scanning we will not open unsolicited attachments to e-mails or e-mails containing no message with an attachment.
     
  • Final responsibility for proof reading errors in any completed work rests with the Client. Whilst we take every care to ensure accurate work, we accept no responsibility for errors after submission to the Client, but we will gladly correct any errors free of charge if found within twenty-four hours.
     
  • Invoices will be raised on completed work, providing a full breakdown of the costs, so there are no hidden charges. Any postage will be charged at cost.
     
  • Payment is due on completion of work by cash or cheque, which must be accompanied by a cheque guarantee card. Payment may also be made by Bank Transfer.
     
  • Clients are wholly responsible for charges incurred should a cheque be returned from the bank unpaid.
     
  • If the Client decides to cancel a request once work has been started, the Client will be charged and invoiced for any work that has already been undertaken on their behalf.
     
  • Where a Retainer Package exists, invoices will be sent out at the end of each month. Any unused hours will be carried over to the next month, and will be reflected in the invoice. Any agreed extra hours will also be reflected in the invoice.
     
  • Where the Client has a Retainer Package agreement with us, we required one months notice should you wish to cancel this.
     
  • We reserve the right to withdraw our services from a Client at any time should we feel the working relationship is not beneficial to both parties.
     
  • We are not responsible for the end of use of any document produced or edited by us. Clients are solely responsible for its appropriate use, including abiding by any copyright laws, plagiarism laws and publishing requirements. We are also not responsible for the content of any document supplied. Clients will not pass plagiarised material as their own original work. We will assume no responsibility for any plagiarised material supplied by the client and reserve the right to return the work should we become aware of such inappropriate use. We retain the right to reject work for any client which involves material we find to be illegal, immoral or objectionable.
